Message sent to Florida Governor Jeb Bush
14 February 2005 Dear Governor Bush,
My name is Adam Brockie and I'm a retired USAF Veteran. I served in the Persian Gulf (Riyadh) on 2 separate occasions. Dec 93-Mar 94 and lastly in Jun - Sep 99. I love this country that I served.
I have recently "adopted" all 67 POW/MIAs from the great State of Florida through Operation Just Cause. I have made Honor Pages for each one of them. 66 are from the Vietnam Era and 1 of them is from Desert Storm (Capt Speicher, USN).
As of Jan 2005 it is reported by the DOD database that 1,842 of our men are still unaccounted for from the Vietnam Era.
Three cases that trouble me are Michael Brellenthin, Rodney H. Gott, and Robert E. Pittman. Although they appear on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall, they are not listed within the DOD database.
If you could look into the above 3 men's cases or direct it to the appropriate level of State Government I would appreciate it.
God Bless you, Adam Brockie

Florida Governor Jeb Bush's Office Reply
15 February 2005 Dear Mr. Brockie:
Florida Governor Jeb Bush received the email you sent him and asked me to reply. The Governor is glad to learn of your involvement with this project.
As you may know, the federal government oversees military matters and Governor Bush has very limited authority to intervene. Your best source of assistance is your United States Congressional Delegation. You can find contact information for your United States Senators and Representative at this web site...

Governor Bush hopes this information is helpful. The Governor commends you and your fellow veterans for your service to the nation.
Thank you very much for writing,
