My letter to the White House
8 February 2005
Dear Mr. President and Mrs. Bush, Mr. Vice President and Mrs. Cheney,
My name is Adam Brockie and I'm a retired USAF Veteran. I served in the Persian Gulf (Riyadh) on 2 separate occasions. Dec 93-Mar 94 and lastly in Jun - Sep 99. I love this country that I served.
I have recently "adopted" all 68 POW/MIAs from the great State of Florida through Operation Just Cause. I have made Honor Pages for each one of them. 67 are from the Vietnam Era and 1 of them is from Desert Storm (Capt Speicher, USN).
As of Jan 2005 it is reported by the DOD database that 1,842 of our men are still unaccounted for from the Vietnam Era.
Three cases that trouble me are Michael Brellenthin, Rodney H. Gott, and Robert E. Pittman. Although they appear on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall, they are not listed within the DOD database.
I'm very pleased with the Leadership in the White House. If you could look into the above 3 men's cases or direct it to the appropriate level of Government I would appreciate it.
God Bless you all,
Adam Brockie
